Responsibilities
- Champion a safety-first culture, ensuring full compliance with OSHA standards and promoting proactive safety practices across the facility.
- Drive plant performance by aligning operational goals with production schedules, customer demands, and quality objectives.
- Lead strategic planning initiatives to optimize output, reduce waste, and improve workflow efficiency through Lean manufacturing practices.
- Build and mentor a high-performing leadership team to foster accountability, engagement, and skill development at all levels.
- Collaborate closely with supply chain, engineering, and sales teams to streamline operations and maintain inventory accuracy.
- Monitor operational metrics and financial performance, identifying trends and implementing corrective actions when needed.
- Manage site-level capital projects and oversee equipment upgrades to ensure operational readiness and technological advancement.
- Encourage cross-departmental communication to ensure cohesive execution of production goals and corporate initiatives.
- Facilitate root cause analysis and corrective actions for production or quality issues, ensuring continuous improvement.
- Represent the facility in audits, customer visits, and executive reviews, providing insight into plant capabilities and performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 8–10 years of progressive leadership experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in Lean manufacturing tools and principles (e.g., Toyota Production System).
