A multinational pharmaceutical group with operations in Latin America and Europe is
undergoing a major strategic transformation. We are looking for a Global Director of
Manufacturing & Operations to lead the modernization, centralization, and optimization
of the company’s production footprint.
Objective:
Design and implement a centralized, high-efficiency, sustainable operating model
through specialized manufacturing hubs. Lead automation, digitization, and the
integration of advanced technologies (AI, robotics, IoT), while ensuring compliance with
international regulations and driving operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Centralize global manufacturing into specialized hubs.
Implement automation and advanced technologies.
Optimize costs, reduce waste, and boost production efficiency.
Drive sustainability initiatives and green manufacturing practices.
Maximize operational assets and integrate newly acquired facilities.
Ensure compliance with GMP and global regulatory standards.
Build and lead a high-performing, multicultural team in manufacturing.
Guarantee high service levels across the global supply chain.
Lead strategic engineering, innovation, and expansion projects.
Establish a robust risk management and business continuity framework.
Design and lead a regional operational governance model aligned with the Executive
Committee and local business units.
Implement real-time dashboards to monitor strategic KPIs.
Regularly report to the CEO and Board on progress, risks, ROI, and the impact of
transformation initiatives.
Candidate Profile:
Education:
Degree in Industrial, Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
MBA or postgraduate studies in Advanced Manufacturing, Digital Transformation, or
Sustainability preferred.
Experience:
10+ years in manufacturing leadership roles in Big Pharma (”Mandatory”).
Proven success in automation, robotics, AI, and Lean/6 Sigma implementation.
Familiarity with GMP and LATAM's high regulatory frameworks (e.g., DIGEMID,
ANVISA, COFEPRIS, INVIMA, among others).
Experience leading global, multicultural teams and driving operational transformation.
Skills:
Strategic thinker with strong execution capabilities.
Tech-savvy and innovation-driven.
Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG)-oriented mindset
Effective leadership across diverse geographies
Certifications like APICS (CPIM, CSCP), PMP, or similar are a plus
Fully bilingual in Spanish (“Mandatory”) and English, Portuguese a plus.
