Director of Manufacturing
The Director of Manufacturing is responsible for leading and overseeing all manufacturing operations across the organization. This executive role ensures that production processes are efficient, cost-effective, and deliver high-quality products in alignment with company goals. The Director of Manufacturing will drive operational excellence, optimize plant performance, implement lean manufacturing strategies, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
Objectives of this Role
· Provide strategic leadership for the company’s manufacturing operations, including production, maintenance, quality, engineering, and supply chain functions.
· Develop and implement long-term manufacturing strategies that support business growth, innovation, and profitability.
· Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality.
· Oversee manufacturing budgets, resource allocation, and capital expenditures.
· Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
· Establish and track key performance indicators for manufacturing operations.
· Lead, mentor, and develop plant supervisors and other senior manufacturing leaders.
· Support digital transformation and smart manufacturing initiatives.
Skills and Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
· 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in manufacturing, including at least 5 years in a senior executive role.
· Expertise in lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
· Strong financial acumen and experience managing large operational budgets.
· Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
· Ability to lead through influence and collaborate cross-functionally.
Preferred Qualifications
· Proficient with scheduling management tools, including forecasting
· Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel Spreadsheets
· Knowledge of manufacturing workflows and inventory management.
