Position Summary
As the Director of Manufacturing Operations, you'll be instrumental in advancing PRL’s mission: delivering uncompromising quality, purity, and effectiveness through excipient‑free, non‑toxic, science‑backed supplements. Your leadership will underscore safety, integrity, transparency, and collaboration, bringing PRL’s vision to life with small, dedicated teams.
Essential Functions
- Department Leadership & Oversight Lead department heads in the following areas, while remaining directly responsible for all other manufacturing functions:
- Purchasing & Procurement: Strategic sourcing, supplier management, negotiations, optimal inventory, and compliance
- Shipping, Receiving & Fulfillment: Inbound/outbound logistics, inventory accuracy, and efficient order fulfillment
- Facilities & Grounds Maintenance: Building systems, safety, preventative maintenance, and vendor oversight
- Manufacturing Operations: Production execution, quality management, and cGMP compliance at CMOs
- Drive Product Commercialization Excellence Spearhead cross‑functional collaboration—working with R&D, Quality, and Procurement—to deliver scalable, cost‑controlled product launches using industry best practices.
- Champion Process & Continuous Improvement Embed Lean Six Sigma, 5S, and data‑driven initiatives across manufacturing and operational sites—supporting PRL’s “we aim high” ethos.
- People Leadership & Talent Development Mentor internal teams with a values‑first mentality—prioritizing integrity, curiosity, empathy, and collaboration that define PRL’s culture.
- Cross‑Functional Collaboration & Communication Serve as the central connector across R&D, Quality, Supply Chain, Regulatory, Marketing, and Sales—ensuring strategic alignment and transparency.
- Strategic Production Planning & Demand Forecasting Design scalable production plans driven by sales forecasts, seasonality, and product cadence to sustain PRL’s commitment to timely delivery.
- Supplier, Vendor & CMO Relationship Management Negotiate SLAs and contracts; set performance expectations to reinforce PRL’s ethos of collaboration and excellence.
- Budgeting, Cost Control & Capital Planning Manage manufacturing P&L, annual budgets, CAPEX planning, and COGS optimization—ensuring financial integrity and sustainable growth.
- Technology Adoption & Digital Transformation Lead integration of ERP systems, analytics, automation, and predictive maintenance—propelling PRL’s agile, data‑driven evolution.
- Sustainability & Safety Leadership Champion environmental stewardship and ensure OSHA and cGMP compliance—applying sustainable practices across all manufacturing operations and partners

Qualifications
Education & Experience
- 10+ years in manufacturing & operations, including 5+ years in supplement contract manufacturing (healthcare practitioner brand experience preferred
- Bachelors in engineering, Science, Operations, or Supply Chain (MBA preferred)
- Lean Six Sigma training (Green/Black belt desirable)
- Deep expertise in cGMP, FDA, DSHEA, FSMA, BOM/COGS, NPD processes, and contract manufacturing KPIs
- Proven leadership in cross‑functional, data‑driven environments
- Experience with ERP systems and data analytics tools
