MedStarGeorgetown is excited to offer a Critical Care Training Fellowship and Emergency Nursing Bridge Program that starts in October, 2025! This three-month fellowship includes the following elements:
- Personalized orientation schedule
- One-on-one preceptorship
- Essentials of Critical Care Orientation (American Association of Critical Care Nurses)
- American Heart Association certifications, as needed (ACLS)
- Specialty Content classes

MedStarGeorgetown University Hospital’s Emergency Department is staffed and equippedto care for over 40,000 patients a year ranging from newborn to end of life.The metropolitan MGUH ED provides high quality care to a wide variety ofpatients, including adult and pediatric patients from the MedStar GeorgetownTransplant Institute and the Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center.Additionally, MedStar Georgetown is accredited by the Joint Commission as aComprehensive Stroke Center and receives acute stroke patients from all aroundthe DC region. All the nurses in the Emergency Department are certified in BLS,ACLS, PALS, and are NIH Stroke Certified and many also have their CEN, TNCC,and ENPC certifications. ED Nursing Leadership supports and encourages nursesto enhance their educational expertise and professional development. MedStarGeorgetown’s Emergency Department prides itself on its teamwork, collaborativegovernance and decision making which creates and implements new ideas centeredon evidenced based practice.
Key Responsibilities
As a Clinical Nurse, you will provide skilled, compassionate care to patients and families across a spectrum of needs—from routine to highly complex. You will assess evolving patient conditions, identify actual and potential health concerns, and develop appropriate care plans. Interventions may be delivered directly or coordinated through collaboration with other members of the nursing team.

Qualifications
- ADN, BSN, MSN, or CNL from an accredited School of Nursing required. BSN Preferred.
- Atleast 1-2 years of recent, hospital-based Nursing (RN) Experience required.
- Active DC RN License and Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers required.
This position has a hiring range of $41.77 - $63.66
