Job Summary and Qualifications
Job Summary
The Data Quality (DQ) Manager within the Data Office, is responsible for developing data quality management practices and processes and implementing them at scale for HCA’s datasets and data products. The manager will be responsible for the development and management of data quality reports, reference data management (RDM), and regulatory automation projects. This role will contribute to the development of the company’s data governance standards and be well versed in the company’s data quality rules according to internal and external data governance policies. The role will create and implement an audit process by which Data Quality errors are escalated, when appropriate, and resolved within an agreed upon amount of time. Success in this position will include the assembly and growth of a capable team, establishing strong working relationships with business and IT teams, and a demonstrated ability to deliver data quality solutions. Due to the technical need of the position and the interaction and socialization with other teams, very strong technical and communication skills are mandatory
What you will do:
- Consult on deep dives into extremely complex issues, their root causes, and solutions. Ensure timely proactive issue identification, escalation, and resolution.
- Establish a strong inclusive culture, encouraging innovation, inclusion, teamwork, and diversity.
- Proactively evaluate and champion/influence change across delivery teams to mitigate risks to quality and the cloud ecosystem and provide multiple viable options for mitigation of such risks.
- Expert knowledge of ticketing systems for support (i.e., Jira, Azure DevOps, Service Central) and master data management technologies (i.e., Ataccama, EMPI-Initiate).
- Provide consultation to the business on how to obtain value from data. Guide the business on where the most accurate data resides within the HCA ecosystem to support various business needs and processes.
- Strong understanding of data integration, source target mapping, and business rules transformation in a heterogeneous systems environment.
- Experience with database management systems: Teradata Vantage (Cloud), DB2, and Google Cloud Platform.
- A deep understanding of data lifecycle (database design, data profiling, data quality, master data management, data warehouses/marts/staging/ODS).
- Practice and adhere to the “Code of Conduct” philosophy and “Mission and Value Statement.”
- Demonstrate mastery of enterprise data processes and systems design for moderate to difficult applications, batch, streaming, on-line and event-driven initiatives.
What qualifications you will need:
- Bachelors degree Information Systems, Business Administration, or Similar — required
- Masters degree Information Systems, Business Administration, or Similar — preferred
- 5+ years of experience in information technology design and development — required
- 3+ years of experience in leading a team of direct reports — required

- Tools needing to be familiar with: Atacamma Data Quality, Atacamma Reference Data Management, GCP BigQuery (DataPlex, Data Catalog, Policy Tagging), IBM Initiate, Teradata Vantage (Cloud), DB2, Jira or Azure DevOps — required
