Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and strategic VP of Manufacturing to oversee the company’s ongoing operations and procedures in the manufacturing sector. As a key member of the executive team, the VP of Manufacturing will be responsible for driving operational excellence, ensuring manufacturing efficiency, improving supply chain and production processes, and supporting scalable growth initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Leadership: Oversee daily operations of the company, including production, quality control, supply chain, logistics, procurement, and facility management.
- Strategic Execution: Collaborate with the CEO and other executives to set and implement business strategies, goals, and KPIs aligned with company vision.
- Process Optimization: Drive continuous improvement initiatives across production lines to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure safety and compliance.
- Supply Chain Management: Develop and manage a robust supply chain strategy, vendor relationships, and inventory control systems to minimize downtime and disruptions.
- Quality & Compliance: Ensure all manufacturing processes comply with industry standards (e.g., ISO, OSHA) and internal quality assurance policies.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing operations team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and innovation.
- Budget & Performance Management: Manage operational budgets, analyze performance data, and report on key metrics to inform executive decision-making.
- Technology & Innovation: Identify and implement technologies and automation solutions to streamline operations and support digital transformation.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s or MBA preferred).
- 5+ years of senior operational leadership experience in a manufacturing / production environment.
- Multisite Manufacturing experience.
- Proven competency in P&L Management
- Proven experience managing large-scale production and supply chain operations.
- Strong understanding of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex projects.
- Excellent analytical, strategic planning, and organizational skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Must be local or willing to commute to the Gurnee, IL area, there is no relocation offered for this position.
