Ob Hospitalist
Well-established practice seeking to add Ob Hospitalist position. The primary role will be to cover obstetric labor-floor care in coordination with our in-house midwives. This position would join a collaborative team of physicians and midwives and serve in a capacity of providing accessible care for our obstetric inpatients. Generalist physicians of the practice would also serve as backup on call and support as needed.
Major Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
- Cover labor and delivery with the on-call midwife.
- Call can be taken from home if within appropriate distance from hospital
- Perform operative vaginal deliveries and C-sections when indicated, and normal vaginal deliveries if midwife unavailable
- Assist with complex repairs or difficult deliveries
- Evaluate, manage, and admit OB high risk triage patients
- Round on the antepartum service and high-risk postpartum patients.
- Provide consults for our patients through OB phone triage nurses and midwife phone calls.
- Provide consults for OB ER patients of our practice
- Perform circumcisions
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
- Licensed physician with the State of Georgia License.
- Board certified Ob/Gyn physician
Preferred Education and Experience:
- At least three years of experience required
Schedule:
- Shifts will be 24 hours
- Schedule would be approximately 8 weekday shifts per month
- Rotating q6 Saturdays; holidays rotating/shared with practice physicians, typically one assigned holiday per year
- Additional pickup shifts could be available, including weekends or holidays for additional pay

Required Licensure, Certification, Registration or Designation:
