Position Description
- General job duties. Types of procedures required.
Primary nursing responsbiliites in the lab and during the procedure: Circulating - Adminstration of Medications - Conscious Sedation - Scrubbing ( optional) . Types of procedures : diagnostic catheterization, PCI, temporary pacemakers, STEMI., sheath pull.
- Equipment utilized in the unit/dept. (Is there computerized charting, medication systems, etc.)
EPIC - Cupid for documentation - OmniCell for medication - IVUS- IABP - FFR- glucometers- Hemochron -
- Required skills and minimum years of experience.
three to five years expereince
- Specific licensures and certifications/registrations required. (ARRT, CRT, BLS, ACLS, etc)
Licensed in the State of Maryland, BLS, ACLS, RCIS( optional)
- Shift or schedule requirements. (Will the employee ever work alone? Is call required? If so, how often? Are weekends required?)
Four - ten hours day - 7:00am to 5:00pm - take call at least seven days per months, this will include weekend call
- Floating to other units/departments. (If so, to which units/departments?)
May be asked to start IV on the Pre-procedural area - 2E
- Bed size/number of rooms for this unit/dept.
N/A - the position is part of the Cardiac Catheterization Lab - procedural area - three labs
- Nurse to patient ratio of this unit. (nursing only)
N/A - on a team of 3-4 staff -multi- disclipinary
