Our client, a leading medical equipment manufacturer is seeking an experienced Vice President of Manufacturing to join their team. This position will be located onsite in Franklin, IN. The Vice President of Manufacturing will report directly to the President and will lead a manufacturing team to implement process improvements. This will include production functions, training, and logistics.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all aspects of production operations
- Lead by example with direct, daily interaction and training of both hourly and salaried staff.
- Develop and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly KPIs for all operational departments to drive
- efficiency, productivity, and profitability.
- Ensure performance metrics are clearly communicated and tracked in real-time or per shift.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase output and reduce cost while maintaining
- quality.
- Ensure operations remain in full compliance with federal/state regulatory requirements and
- internal SOPs.
- Define and implement clear job roles, responsibilities, and performance expectations across all
- production areas.
- Hold managers accountable for setting measurable goals, reviewing outcomes, and addressing
- performance barriers.
- Establish and manage budgets for all operational departments under their supervision.
- Maintain flexibility to support multi-site manufacturing operations as needed.
- Support prospective sales efforts with operational input when necessary.
- Represent the company in interactions with customers, suppliers, investors, and strategic partners.
- Play a key role in developing and executing the annual business plan.
- Contribute to monthly, quarterly, and annual management reporting used in budgeting, capital
- planning, and forecasting.
- Collaborate with external service providers, including auditors, engineers, and consultants.
- Foster cross-functional collaboration by maintaining open communication with all departments.
- Monitor production across all shifts to ensure consistency and address operational issues
- proactively.
- Support M&A activities, including diligence, and integration planning.
Qualifications / Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or related field.
- 7+ years of experience in high-volume manufacturing environment.
- 5+ years of experience managing production operations within an FDA-regulated environment.
- 3+ years of experience managing direct reports.
- Effective communication and interaction with employees, clients, and colleagues and the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization.
- Master’s degree preferred.
- Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma certifications preferred.
- Willing and able to travel up to 30%.
