As a Resident Care Manager (RCM) at Friendsview, you’re not just providing clinical support—you’re shaping the everyday experience and long-term wellbeing of the older adults who call our community home. What You’ll Do

Champion High-Quality Nursing Care

Ensure nursing care is aligned with federal, state, and local standards + Friendsview policies.
Perform ongoing evaluations.
Coordinate with an interdisciplinary team to support residents’ physical and psychosocial needs.
Oversee medication administration, treatments, and Med Tech competency.
Review and update service plans, always prioritizing resident preferences.

Collaborate + Communicate

Serve as the primary clinical point of contact for residents and families.
Meet with our Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) to support holistic care.
Maintain strong relationships with residents, families, coworkers, regulators, and outside medical partners.
Foster a culture of respect, teamwork, communication, and continuous learning.

Lead with Purpose

Supervise Charge Nurses and/or Resident Care Coordinators, depending on position.
Create a positive environment through mentorship, conflict resolution, and supportive leadership.
Promote best practices in geriatric care, safety, infection control, and resident rights.
Support staff retention and engagement through fair, compassionate leadership.

Drive Quality & Safety

Participate in Quality Assessment and Performance Improvement (QAPI).
Assist with incident reviews, root cause analysis, infection control, and improvement projects.
Identify hazards, respond to potential abuse/neglect concerns, and coach staff as needed.

What You Bring

LPN license (in good standing).
Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
Preferred:
- BSN
- 2–3 years in long-term care, memory care experience preferred
- 1+ year in supervision or leadership
Strong communication, leadership, and team-building skills.
Ability to stay organized, adapt quickly, and navigate complex family/medical situations with grace.
Experience with care plans, medication systems, infection control, and nurse delegation (preferred).
Comfort using Microsoft Office and learning new software systems.

Leadership & Decision-Making

Work independently while collaborating across departments.
Use sound judgment on issues that impact resident care and departmental operations.
Regularly communicate with residents, families, teams, and outside professionals.

Pass DHS background check, drug screen, and reference checks.
Provide documentation for employment eligibility & education.
Valid driver’s license and insurance (if driving is required).

Physical Requirements

Work at a computer for extended periods.
Walk or stand for moderate periods.
Occasionally assist with resident transfers and lift up to 20 lbs. (following safety protocols).
Normal vision and hearing (with or without corrective devices).
