Abbott Interfast, a leading fastener manufacturer and supplier with a commitment to quality and innovation, is seeking an Entry Level Machine Operator to join our team in Wheeling, Illinois. This Machine Operator will play a crucial role in our production process, ensuring that machinery operates efficiently and safely to meet production schedules. Ideal candidates will have experience operating machinery in a manufacturing environment, a strong attention to detail, and a passion for delivering high-quality products. Training will be provided.

Responsibility

Conduct regular inspections and quality checks of production output to ensure compliance with specifications
Troubleshoot and resolve minor machine issues to minimize downtime
Maintain accurate records of production metrics and machine performance
Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized workspace
Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines
Assist in training new operators on machinery and procedures

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent required
Previous experience as a Machine Operator in a manufacturing or industrial setting preferred
Basic mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods
Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment
Must be a United States citizen

$20 to $24+ per hour, based on experience and shift
3rd shift will take priority for hiring but looking for someone for all shifts
